Hi, my name is Lucien and I am based in Plymouth, Devon, UK. I am trying to achieve my life long goal of working in the conservation sector and have gone back to study Environmental Science B.Sc. through the Open University in my spare time after work. I have experience working with animals as I was a volunteer for 2 years working in the husbandry team for Plymouth aquarium. I also have started volunteering for the Community seagrass initiative where we undertake local surveys of seagrass beds using scuba gear to record diversity of species and habitat areas with photography and survey quadrants. One of my major passions is to create photos and videos of the natural world. All kinds of nature interest me from big and small to air, land and sea.
At the moment my main interest is Macro photography. I’m building a portfolio of pictures of invertebrates I have taken in the UK and places I have visited on holiday using a number of different techniques. So, check out my macro section if you are interested.
The planet is fragile and if I can do my little bit to show people the beauty of Earth’s diverse species then I am happy. Hopefully I can move into other forms of photography and cinematography to do this. I am proficient in using Adobe Photoshop, Light Room and Premier and I’m developing my After Effects skills.
I also have experience with GoPros and am also diversifying into aerial photography and cinematography using a DJI phantom 3. I use many techniques when taking photos or making films from panoramic to time-lapse to focus stacking and am always trying to learn new ones. So, if you have or want any tips please don’t be afraid to let me know.
Anyway, please enjoy my site and the images. Leave feedback on my blog or through the contact page. Let me know if there are any images you like and would like a print of and I will get one to you for a small price depending on the size.
If anyone is interested in one-to-one or group face to face macro workshops then message me on the contact page and I will see what I can do.
Finally, just enjoy and appreciate nature!
Thanks for reading,
Lu.
